It's with significant regret that Elizabeth Coffey and I have decided that, thanks to American war crimes, continued protection of pedophiles, increased attempts at fascism, and animosity in general, we will spend our spare time and money until at least this November on the election of crime-free, honest, sane government officials rather than on reading, editing, and publishing short fiction for a new volume of COOLEST AMERICAN STORIES. We thank readers of the first 4 volumes of COOLEST for your time and supportive reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, and we hope the U.S. returns to reflecting enough good-heartedness in its citizenry that the American short story can become truly cool again.
